Everyone in the energy value chain can be part of the transition towards sustainable development. This includes advisors and consultants.
There are responsible choices to be made before project investment decisions are made, and also during the lifecycle of a committed project. We believe our involvement should be part of minimizing negative environmental impacts while maximising business and community benefits.
The skills we have, and the tools we use, can be part of the benchmarking and measurement of progress. That is why we are thinking about our audit process, and how we can get more involved.
We want to be part of the intellectual debate too, and participate in discussions and blogs. We joined Future Earth, and the knowledge action network for Finance and Economics.
